Kids in the kitchen can often equate to mess. I always insist on my lot wearing an apron when helping me out in the kitchen, whether they’re wearing pyjamas or school uniform, I don’t want unnecessary load on an already jam packed laundry basket.
When Hairy Baby asked me to review their kids’ aprons, I was delighted and a little surprised as I honestly didn’t know that they stocked kids’ aprons. I always thought of Hairy Baby as that really popular Irish brand synonymous with ultra cool t-shirts.
Fraser was vey excited as you can see here in his first ‘unboxing’ video 🙂
He was so excited, I’m sure that Hairy Baby would forgive his little faux pas at the end!
The kids’ aprons themselves are made from 100% organic twill cotton with a choice of four really cute images.
There are two sizes to choose from, small Age 3-6 and Med Age 7-12. The medium size is actually quite big and would fit right up into teens.
The aprons retail on hairybaby.com at €12 (ex. delivery €4) which I think is a great price considering their quality. My only observation is that the velcro fastener (which is a great safety feature) isn’t quite strong enough to cope with my lot’s energetic running around the kitchen but a quick safety pin sorted that out. Apart from that small niggle, they are really beautiful aprons and would be a wonderful gift for any child.
Hairy Baby have very kindly offered to give an apron away to one of the readers of Saucepan Kids.

Full competition terms and conditions are listed here
Disclosure: I received three aprons from Hairy Baby for the purposes of this review. My opinions are, as always, 100% honest and my own.
