Pork and apples are a great combination but how about in a good old sausage sandwich?

 8 good quality sausages (80% pork if possible)
 2 apples (most varieties should work)
 Juice of 1/2 lemon
 Good quality bread

Fry the sausages in a frying pan with a little oil until brown all over and place to one side

While the sausages are cooking, core, peel and slice the apples into fairly thin wedges and place them in a bowl with the lemon juice - this prevents them browning

After you have taken the sausages out of the pan, place the apples in and fry them for a few minutes on each side until they brown

Place the sausages on buttered brown bread with slices of apple on the top and enjoy
