When we do manage to get strawberries from the garden, or buy them in, here's a really quick, easy pudding to make.
Our friend gave us a box of maltesers as part of a get well present for James after his accident so I had the idea of putting them together with strawberries and ice cream. We sometimes have strawberries with broken up pieces of meringue, ice cream and grated chocolate but as we had no meringue so I used Maltesers instead.
Fun, special after dinner treat for the kids which they can make themselves. They'll love bashing the Maltesers?
Take the stalks off the strawberries and chop into quarters and put into the serving bowls
Put the Maltesers into a plastic food bag, seal and bash with a rolling pin. It's good to mixture of smaller crumbs and big pieces
Add ice cream
Sprinkle over the Maltesers
Enjoy!!
The kids can prepare this on their own, chopping the strawberries and scooping the ice cream but their favourite bit has to be bashing the Maltesers into little pieces!
